Centers of Excellence

The Center for Critical Needs offers help to people with critical needs that cannot be met by existing programs or services. We assist with basic life needs such as emergency food, shelter, medication assistance, medical supplies, and utility assistance if funds are available.

The Elder Justice Center of Alabama is in the City of Montevallo. Our mission is to mobilize communities to prevent and properly respond to adult mistreatment so people can live with dignity, security, and independence as they age. We accomplish this through supporting family caregivers, and providing education and training to first responders, professionals, caregivers, and senior groups on a variety of aging topics.

The Training for Aging Center provides Dementia Friendly training to First Responders so they can become dementia knowledgeable, dementia sensitive, and dementia responsive. We also provide one on one education for family caregivers, and provide law enforcement, professionals, and community groups on elder abuse and its prevention.
