Kim Payne Memorial Critical Needs Fund
M4A has established the “Kim Payne Memorial Critical Needs Fund” to honor Kim’s legacy and service to the clients served in M4A’s region. Kim helped thousands of individuals in M4A’s region find resources and access services in their time of need. We hope this fund will allow her generosity of spirit to shine and continue to help others.
Nearly 90% of older adults age 65 and older express the desire to age-in-place within their own homes for as long as possible. M4A provides critical support and services older and/or disabled individuals need to remain safely in their homes. However, we find that the needs we encounter often exceed the availability of resources to meet those needs. These common critical needs include, but are not limited to rent, utilities, food, medicine, and emergency home modifications.
We all experience challenges in our daily lives, but for those living in our most vulnerable populations, these barriers can often be heightened and more overwhelming. In addition to barriers associated with an unexpected crisis, these individuals and their families also struggle with the ongoing financial and physical hardships they face each month.
As a response to this need, M4A has launched the Kim Payne Memorial Critical Needs Fund campaign that aims to connect members of the community with a safety net for vulnerable individuals. This new campaign allows community members to make a charitable donation that will directly impact those in need throughout Blount, Chilton, Shelby, St. Clair, and Walker Counties.
M4A is challenging our partners, leaders, and local community members to do their part in helping our clients remain independent and improving their overall quality of life. With your help and donation efforts, we can all make a difference in our communities. Thank you for considering this opportunity to help others in need.
